Kakinada: SP directs officials to complete pending cases without delay

Kakinada: District Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi ordered the DSPs of all sub-divisions to increase the vigilance over the movements of rowdy-sheeters and conduct counselling for them regularly.

In the crime review meeting with the DSPs, CIs and SIs held through videoconference on Tuesday, the SP asked the officers to put special focus on the persons who encourage and engage in antisocial activities and ordered them not to tolerate any of them.

Asmi stated that he would not tolerate, if any indifference or delay is made in the matter of investigation of pending cases.

He enquired about the pending cases and asked the concerned police officials why the investigation was pending and directed them to complete the probe immediately and file charge sheets in the court. He also directed the officials to file charge sheets after completing the pending cases without any delay. He also made it clear that in the matter of SC, ST atrocity cases particularly women and children the process of investigation should be completed, charge sheet be filed and the accused should be arrested without any delay.

He also stated that the cases that are filed in the courts along with the witnesses should be produced before the court.

He also wanted that the accused should not escape the punishment but face the sentence given by the court. He said in the case of non-bailable warrant cases pending, they should be executed immediately.

He instructed the officials to crack down on illegal sand smuggling, ID arrack manufacturing, transportation and cannabis cultivation and transportation, as well as crack down on illegal activities such as cockfights, betting and others.

He instructed the officials to show courtesy and politeness towards the victims who come to the police station. He directed the officers to identify the perpetrators of frequent crimes and enforce the PD Act against them.
