Make Guntur malaria-free district: JC

Guntur: District Joint Collector Himanshu Shukla said that it is responsibility of everybody to make Guntur district malaria-free district. He addressed a meeting held at the DMHO office in Guntur city on Thursday, on the occasion of World Malaria Day.

He said that to check spread of Malaria and Dengue, the government started 'Domalapai Dandayatra' programme and stressed on need to clean the side drains. He directed the officials to create awareness on Malaria and Dengue. Joint Collector -2 SVV Satyanarayana urged the people to participate in awareness programmes to check mosquitoes. DMHO Dr Yasmin was also present.
