Manabadi: Nadu-Nedu a revolutionary step: CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy

Ongole: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the 'Manabadi Nadu Nedu' programme, said it was a revolutionary step in improving educational system. He was speaking at the PVR Boys High School in Ongole on Thursday.

Welcoming the Chief Minister, the Collector Dr Pola Bhaskara said that the government was bringing out complete reforms in the education department and is committed to offer English medium education along with better services in government schools. He wished that with the 'Nadu-Nedu' program being launched in Prakasam district, the schools would flourish and prosper in the future.

Principal Secretary of the Education Department B Rajasekhar said that to let the students from the state compete in the future filled with computers, artificial intelligence and robotics, the education department is bringing out reforms. He said that the schools are about to change completely with infrastructure and facilities.

He requested the parents' committees to make sure that the development works are done with quality. Minister for Energy, Environment, Forests, Science and Technology Balineni Srinivasa Reddy said that the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is about to spend thousands of crores like no other chief minister spent on the development of the government schools.

He said that Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan are blaming the Chief Minister for introducing English medium in government schools. He questioned the leaders as to why shouldn't poor students go to English medium school as their children and grandchildren go.

He said that Pawan Kalyan didn't question people who looted sand in the TDP rule and advised him to stop supporting TDP. He said that no lorry of sand is crossing the border of the district and announced that the government will take severe action on those trying to transport it illegally.

Minister for Education Dr Adimulapu Suresh said that the government is bringing English medium to create a level playing field for the students. He said that the Nadu Nedu program is a revolutionary program being launched to provide better infrastructure to all schools.

He said that the chief minister took the decision to introduce English medium to help the poor, downtrodden and economically weaker sections to get their share in the golden future. He said that the chief minister has proved the ability to address issues of the public in just five months of rule.

He said that there would be doubts about the students and teachers adopting English medium and announced that they would be trained in the meantime. He said that the Andhra Pradesh would become a model state in three years and praised the chief minister for introducing the English medium in all government schools and announced that education with equality, affordability, accessibility and accountability is the philosophy of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The MPs Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, Nandigam Suresh, MLCs and MLAs from the district, TTD chairman YV Subbareddy, SP Siddharth Kaushal and other offers and public representatives also participated in the programme.
