MLC extends support to Urdu Academy staff in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: MLC Laxman Rao on Tuesday assured the Urdu Academy Employees Association members who were on a three-day protest that he would bring the issue to the notice of the government at the Legislature Council meeting. Laxman Rao extended his support to the Urdu Academy employees' protest at Dharna Chowk here.

He made a note of all their problems and said that he would protest on behalf of the employees against the government to release the increased salaries to the employees immediately.

He said it is very sad that all the Urdu Academy employees across the state are protesting against the government for the release of their revised pay. The government should consider their justifiable demands and release the salaries immediately.

Association president Mukthiyar Ali, Syed Aleem, state leaders and employees participated in the protest.
