Muslim community hosts iftar dinner for district officials

Ongole: The district officials and public representatives participated in the Iftar feast given to the Muslim community by the minority welfare department in Ongole on Tuesday and wished them all a Happy Ramadan.

Speaking at the programme, District Collector Vadarevu Vinaychand said that Muslims celebrate Ramzan as a sacred festival with devotion and dedication towards the almighty and conveyed them Eid Mubarak. He announced that the state government has ordered them to fund edgahs and masjid, which do not receive considerable donations, for their repairs and white washes.

He said that amount is being distributed to the concerned authorities. MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy announced that the construction of Shadikhana will be completed soon in the town. MLA Balineni Srinivasa Reddy thanked the Muslims for their confidence in YSR Congress Party and said that the party will always support them. District SP Siddharth Kaushal wished that the blessings of Allah reach all people and they are awarded with prosperity.
