Neglect of Spandana petitions to be treated seriously: Collector

Eluru: West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has warned officials of stern action if they failed to address representations received from people in Spandana programme. He convened a videoconference with mandal-level officials on the clearance of Spandana petitions here on Wednesday.

He said any neglect on the part of officials in dealing with Spandana petitions will be viewed seriously. He informed that 51 representations were received from Chief Minister's Office with regard to Spandana programme out of which 23 were solved. While 16 petitions were scrutinised, four of them were rejected.

As many as eight petitions were still pending with officials which should be addressed at the earliest. The Collector instructed the officials to clear petitions received from CMO within one day or three days or week without fail.

He ordered the officials to register the petitions received at Spandana online and address the same in stipulated time frame. If any official found neglecting this, he would initiate stern action, he warned. The Collector revealed that so far 4,480 petitions were received under Spandana programme in the district out of which 2,025 representations were still pending which need to be settled within the set time.
