Nellore: Supply of essential commodities through mobile stalls planned
Nellore: District Collector MV Seshagiri Babu said that they had taken steps for supply of essential commodities and vegetables in the city markets. He said they had also arranged special help desks for the convenience of the people.
While addressing media persons at DEOC (District Emergency Operations Centre) here on Monday, the Collector said that Sec 144 was imposed under CrPC in the entire district for maintaining social distance to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The Collector informed that any religious, educational, political and other meetings and rallies are strictly prohibited till March 31. The State and Central governments have issued a high alert in this regard.
Further, the District Collector said they are making arrangements for the supply of essential commodities at all places.. They have arranged help desks at the District Emergency Operations Centre for supporting the population and they can call on 9618232115, 18004256773 and 0861-2349991.
Seshagiri Babu said they have arranged 15 Rythu Bazaars in the city for supplying vegetables. People should not assemble anywhere more than 10 persons. Medical shops, hospitals, provision stores, petrol bunks are open without any restrictions, he said.
.Joint Collector Dr V Vinod Kumar said that the civil supplies department had arranged mobile shops in the city. He said people should not come outside of the houses unless there is an urgency. Trainee Collector Kalpana Kumari, DMHO Dr G Rajyalakshmi, and others were present.
