People must follow health guidelines till March 31, says District Collector Mutyala Raju at Eluru

Eluru: District Collector Revu Mutyala Raju has instructed the officials concerned to immediately take steps for the closure of all cinema halls and shopping malls in the district as part of the efforts to check the spread of Covid-19. He said the Union government and the World Health Organisation have declared a health emergency to check the spread of coronavirus, which has spread in more than 160 countries He asked the officials to create awareness among the people on the coronavirus and preventive measures to be taken to check it.

He asked the hotels, restaurants, bars and other eateries to maintain hygiene and keep distance between the two tables. He has appealed to the people to defer the functions and other events where there is a scope for gathering.

District Collector said that one of the best methods to check the spread of coronavirus is to maintain distance of four to five feet from one another. He also appealed to the Covid-19 infected people to maintain distance from the family members, relatives and friends and suggested them to consult the doctor immediately and take the treatment without fail. He cautioned the people to be careful with the delivery boys who deliver food and other materials online and take special precautions to check the spread of desease and not to get infected.

He said the district administration will take stringent action if the cinema halls are not closed as per the instructions. He said it inevitable to maintain and follow the guidelines of the Union government till March 31 to check the spread of Covid-19.
