West Godavari Collector Revu Mutyala Raju pulls up officials for slow progress of Nadu-Nedu works

Eluru: West Godavari district collector Revu Mutyala Raju has pulled up the officials of education, Panchayat Raj and other departments for the slow progress of works taken up under Nadu-Nedu programme in West Godavari district. He has warned that he would take stern action for the negligence of duty and execution of works. Mutyala Raju discussed the progress of the works taken up in the district under the 'Nadu-Nedu' programme with the officials of education, Panchayat Raj and other departments at the collectorate on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he said the gross negligence was clearly visible in the execution of works and felt the works were not progressing as per the schedule. He said the administrative sanction was given to take up works in 1064 schools against the 1103 schools identified in the district and added that the works are getting delayed in spite of adequate funds sanctioned. He said toilets construction works were taken up in 819 schools against the sanction given for construction of toilets in 960 schools in the district. He informed that 1084 bank accounts were opened for execution of works and 3015 parents committees were formed in the district.

He suggested the officials concerned to give training to the staff on estimations generation, invoice uploading and supervision of works. He questioned the DEO and other officials how many schools they had visited and how many problems they had solved. He has warned that he would not tolerate negligence in execution or delay of works. He asked the officials to take up the work school wise and ensure that all works should be completed as per the plan drawn in execution of works under the Nadu-Nedu scheme. DEO CV Renuka, SSY Project Officer Katsayini and other officials attended the meeting.
