PETs association stages dharna in Kakinada
Kakinada: East Godavari District Physical Education Teachers and Assistant PETs staged a dharna in front of Collectorate here on Thursday, demanding that the authorities upgrade 2603 PET posts and release funds for sports equipment at the schools.
Leading the agitation, the association president V Ravi Raju demanded that the government release CM Cup funds sanctioned by the previous government. He also asked the government to recruit PETs in the schools according to ratio of the students.
He requested the State government to release funds for the Chief Minister's Cup competitions in advance. The association general secretary L George, treasurer G Sunil Kumar and others participated in the agitation.
