Sell produce at paddy purchase centres, Joint Collector tells farmers

Kamavarapukota: Joint Collector M Venugopal Reddy has appealed to the farmers to avail services of the paddy purchase centres set up by the government to provide them support price without involvement of middlemen.

He inspected a paddy purchase centre at the Kamavarapukota market yard and expressed anger over the lack of arrangements to buy the yield from the farmers. He asked the officials to follow the government guidelines and make all arrangements at the centres.

The Joint Collector said the farmers should not approach middlemen but sell their produce at the paddy purchase centres to get a good price and avoid the chances of getting cheated by the mediators.

The Joint Collector also inspected the Tahsildar's office in the village and monitored the revenue records registration. He asked the officials to finish the task of registering the details of the lands of the farmers according to the schedule.
