Shun fear, indecisiveness, Nannapaneni Rajakumari tells women

Visakhapatnam: AP Mahila Commission Chairperson Nannapaneni Rajakumari urged women on Tuesday to shun their fear, laxity, indecisiveness and depression to come up in life. Talking to newsmen after visiting the government boys institution for differently-abled boys at Peda Waltair here, she exhorted women not to go into depression and instead try to find a solution to their problems.

Stating that she came to city to console the family members of the woman who ended her life after poisoning her two physically challenged children, Rajakumari said the woman took the extreme step out of frustration. She expressed her concern over the deceased woman's serious efforts to help her differently-abled children overcome their challenges in vain.

Among the disabled, talent should be tapped and making them on a par with normal children will help improve their standard of life and the Commission was conducting seminars on such issues, she said.

"I am visiting a jail in each district and interacting with woman prisoners to know their background and challenges faced by them," she said. The Mahila Commission Chairperson called for a check on social media which according to her misleading women. Earlier, she spent some time with the children of the school. She blamed the television serials for highlighting vices and misleading the youth, particularly women.
