SP embarks on Sadbhavana Yatra in Vakapalli village
Visakhapatnam: Superintendent of Police, Visakhapatnam Range, Attada Babujee on Sunday took part in the 'Sadbhavana yatra' organised by the police in the Maoist stronghold of Vakapalli village in G Madugula mandal.
The SP interacted with tribals and patiently listened to their grievances. When the SP asked about the progress in the area, the tribals expressed satisfaction over the development activity and underlined the need for taking up more such works.
When they sought jobs for the tribal youth, the SP responded positively saying that he would discuss the issue with the District Collector. The SP later had lunch with tribals.
As part of the programme, medical tests were conducted for over 300 tribals and medicines were given to them free of cost. As many as 14 militia members attended the programme and assured the SP of shunning the path of violence. Volleyball tournament was also conducted as part of the programme and winners were given away prizes.
