SP flags off hearse van in Kurnool
Kurnool: District Superintendent of Police (SP), Dr K Fakkeerappa, has praised the Manavatha, an NGO, for rendering services to the society for free. He participated in the inaugural session of 'Santhi Ratham' that will carry the dead body from the deceased's house to crematorium or burial ground.
Earlier, the SP flagged off the 'Santhi Ratham' at municipal office opposite to KVR Government Degree College for Women here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the SP announced Prasanth, son of Yelukurthi Rambabu, has donated the vehicle costing Rs 6 lakh.
The SP stated that city residents can avail the services of the funeral van and freezer boxes free of cost. He made an appeal to people to come forward for offering free services to the society.
