Spend mineral fund for development works: Collector

Anantapur: District Collector S Sathyanarayana on Thursday directed the mining officials to spend mineral fund on development of government schools and hostels and provide amenities in primary health sub-centres.

Addressing mining officials at the conference hall, the Collector sought to know the requirements of medical and health department in the mining areas of Tadipatri, Kadiri, Singanama and Raptadu Assembly constituencies.

He said the fund should be used for creating amenities including toilets construction and drinking water arrangements. The fund can be utilised for installation of RO plants for drinking water purification and for supply of plates and glasses to hostel children.

He directed the officials to purchase a well-equipped ambulance for Tadipatri government hospital. The fund should be used for all the requirements of people in Palle Pilupu programme.

He asked Panchayath Raj SE Maheshwaraiah to spend the fund on school building repairs and for construction of a kitchen shed at Eduruguntlapalle village in Talupula mandal. Funds should also be spent on building repairs of schools, hostels and hospitals in Vidapanakallu, Tadipatri, Pamidi and Tanekal mandals.

In Anantapur district, hospital funds should be invested on developing gynaecology and paediatric departments and internal requirements. The Collector asked officials to send a report on 11 young patients suffering from silicosis disease. He advised officials to judiciously use the funds for people's good.
