State committed to welfare of people: MVS Nagireddy

Guntur: Government adviser K Ramachandra Murthy said that YSRCP government is giving priority to education, agriculture, medical health and welfare of people.

Addressing a meeting held under the aegis of Janachaitanya Vedika at Majety Guravahaih High School Auditorium here on Friday on the occasion of State Formation Day celebrations, he explained the welfare schemes being implemented by the government.

He said Ammavadi Scheme was useful to the students, particularly the poor. AP State Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof K Hemachandra Reddy said the government was giving top priority to improve skills among youth to get better opportunities.

AP Agriculture Mission vice-president MVS Nagireddy said that the YSRCP government had allotted Rs 40,000 crore for education in the Budget and added that the government was strengthening the market yards to eliminate middlemen in the marketing.

MLC K S Lakshmana Rao, ANU former VC K Vinyanna Rao and Janachaitanya Vedika State president V Lakshma Reddy were present.
