Sumadhura Kala Niketan stages Adalat playlet

Vijayawada: Sumadhura Kala Niketan organised a playlet 'Adalat' on Thursday evening at Veledandla Hanumantharaya Grandhalayam hall. The playlet was penned by Anata Hrudayaraj and directed by ES Pavankumar.

The writer sketched the play based on the human tendency and nature. He tried to emphasise that the life is God's gift and no one can spoil it. At the same moment he also stressed the importance of social security for a person and Hrudayaraj quoted in the playlet that if there is no security in society it is better to die than live long life.

Including the director, EV Sagar, IL Kantarao, Ayachitula Ramakrishna, B Syam and R Rajeswari performed the characters in the play. All the artistes tried to justify to their roles. But the speed dialogue narration of EV Pavankumar, especially English dialogues, could not reach the audience properly.

The white backdrop has many scars which shows the pitiable Telugu theatre. Ch Ganapathi (Make up), Venkataramana (Music) technically supported to the play. R Mohanakrishna supervised the playlet.

Earlier, a small meeting was organised to pay thanks to the patrons of the organisation. Dr MC Das, Dr N Murali Krishna, P Vijaya Bhaskara Sarma, P Suryanarayana Murthy participated in the meeting. Dr D Kailasa Rao conducted the proceedings.
