Tirupati: Collector Dr Narayan Bharath Gupta inspects airport ahead of NRIs arrival
Tirupati: Ahead of the arrival of NRIs returning home from various countries , District Collector Dr Narayan Bharath Gupta visited the airport this evening to inspect the arrangements being made in the airport for receiving the NRIs.
Collector said after landing in the airport, the NRIs will be sent by government vehicles to their respective districts after completion of the process. They have to furnish a declaration, down load Arogya Sethu app and complete registration.
The tests would be conducted for them at the quarantine centres. The NRIs returning home have to be quarantined for 14 days in their home districts and they can opt either government provided quarantine facility which is free of cost or private hotel on payment basis, the collector averred.
The first batch of 149 NRIs returning from Kuwait arriving at Renigunta airport on Thursday night via Hyderabad. Among them, 7 are from Chittoor district while the remaining are from various districts including Kadapa (116), East Godavari and Nellore (6 each), West Godavari (5),Vizag (4).
Joint Collector (Development) Veerabrahmam, RDO Kanaka Narasa Reddy and Airport officials were present.
