Untidy Ruia Hospital irks Collector

Tirupati: District Collector Dr Narayan Bharat Gupta directed the Ruia Hospital administration to give priority for cleanliness in the hospital. He pointed out the pipes, damaged wheelchairs and others at several passages and said that even small issues are not being taken care of.

During his surprise visit to the hospital on Saturday, he visited operation theatres where modernisation works were going on and enquired the reasons for the delay in completing them.

The contractor informed the Collector that they will be completed in the next 15 days. Suggesting them to give top priority to such emergency works, Collector told the hospital Superintendent Dr B Sidda Naik to take funds from Collector's quota if they are in shortage and return them later.

He directed official to complete all civil works within the stipulated time. The Collector interacted with the duty doctors and PG students at the emergency ward, who suggested him to provide another ward with 10 beds to be used for those patients in need of acute emergency care along with rest room for doctors.

Bharat Gupta asked them to send proposals to APMIDC EE. SV Medical College Principal Dr G Ravi Prabhu, Ruia Superintendent Dr B Sidda Naik, Maternity Hospital Superintendent Dr V Bhavani, RMO Dr U Sri Hari, APMIDC Engineer Dhananjaya Reddy, Head Nurse Uma Maheswari and other doctors were present.
