Vijayawada: District Collector Mohammad Imtiaz directed Officials to speed up land acquisition work
Vijayawada: Krishna District Collector Mohammad Imtiaz on Monday directed the officials to speed up the land acquisition process for the distribution of house site pattas by Ugadi.
Imtiaz, along with Joint Collector Madhavi Latha reviewed the progress of land acquisition works with the district officials at the camp office.
Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector said the district administration acquired 1,949 acres of government land and 660 acres of private land and another 1105 acres are still to be acquired for the distribution of house site pattas to the eligible.
He said that as many as 158 court cases were still pending in the four revenue divisions related to the land acquisition and asked the officials concerned to speed up the cases. He said proposals have been made for the development of 1,354 layouts in the district and works already started in many layouts.
District Revenue officer A Prasad, Nuzvid Sub-Collector S Dinakar and other officials attended the meeting.
