Will Chandrababu Naidu shed tears at graveyard Amaravati? Satyanarayana
Amaravati: The Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Botcha Satyanarayana emotionally questioned the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, that would he shed tears tomorrow by visiting this graveyard, Amaravati? He added that Chandrababu Naidu did not develop the Amaravati during his five-year tenure, but now questioning the YSRCP government which is just six months old, addressing at a press conference on Monday at the secretariat.
When the journalists asked Satyanarayana, "Do you compare the Amaravati with graveyard?", the Minister replied that Chandrababu Naidu made it like that. The Minister was reacted on the proposed visit of the Chandrababu Naidu to the capital city, scheduled on November 28.
The TDP president laid the foundation stone to the Amaravati capital city on October 20, 2015, and he was there till May 2019. At least three to four years he has the opportunity to develop the city. He estimated that the construction of the capital needed at least Rs 1.09 lakh crore. But, he spent only Rs 4,900 cr, which is just around 4 per cent of the estimated expenditure. Further, Chandrababu Naidu issued tender notifications for the works worth more than Rs 35,000 cr, just before the general elections, for which there was no proper financial plan. The TDP government did not take the loans or allocate the budget for these works. Now, Chandrababu Naidu has been making a criticism on YSRCP government, for all his failures and faults, criticised Satyanarayana.
The Minister further made it clear that the government will decide the fate of 29 villages, which are under the Amaravati capital city, once the Expert Panel will submit the report. He informed that the previous government did not say clearly that whether these 29 villages are under city limits or villages. The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has asked the committee to submit a draft note on the urban planning across the state, including the capital city.
At the same time, he maintained that the state government is committed to giving the developed land to the farmers who gave their agriculture lands to the CRDA under Land Pooling Scheme. It will be given in a time-bound manner. But, he declined to comment on the developing the capital city.
Reacting on the inclusion of the Amaravati name in the Indian Political Map by the union government after a hue and cry of the public, the Minister said that if the inclusion of the name is really an achievement of the TDP, then would Chandrababu Naidu accept his failure in ensuring Gazette notification.
Satyanarayana said that Chandrababu Naidu has been trying to dictate the state government, despite knowing the public mandate in the recent general elections. He said that the public refused TDP because they did not like the governance of Chandrababu Naidu. Yet, Chandrababu Naidu wanted to teach us on governance. YSRCP will not hear lessons on governance from TDP, he added.
He said that Lokesh and Chandrababu Naidu have fears that the government would reveal their corruption and hence making all these comments. He further criticized that, Chandrababu Naidu has been preparing content to speak in the ensuing Assembly session, by playing political games on the name of sand scarcity, education in the mother tongue, Amaravati and others.
