Civil Engineering symposium Horizon at VNRVJIET

Hyderabad: A one-day Technical Symposium on Civil Engineering conducted under the name "Horizon" by the Civil Engineering Association in collaboration with the institute's chapters of Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) and Indian Green Building Council (IGBC)at Vallurupalli Nageswara Rao Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology (VNRVJIET). The chief guests were Er P Surya Prakash, Founder and Director-Satyavani Projects and Consultants Pvt. Ltd.

Speaking at the occasion, Er P Surya Prakash touches upon the evolution and importance of Civil Engineering and discussed the career opportunities and professional challenges for Civil Engineers. He advised the students that they should practise civil engineering professions instead of migrating to the IT sector.

Students from various engineering colleges participated in the Symposium that included technical events such as Quiz, technical paper presentations, design green, and tensegrity structures. The Institute's Principal, Dr C D Naidu, Director for Advancement, Dr B Chenna Kesava Rao, Head of the Department-Civil Engineering, Dr A Mallika, and Faculty Coordinator, Dr S Rakesh, also participated in the event and addressed the students.
