Entrepreneurship Development Programme at PEC

Hyderabad: A two-day awareness programme on Entrepreneurship Development was held at Pallavi Engineering College Nagole in association with Entrepreneurship Development Cell of JNTUH.

Entrepreneurship Development Programme helps in developing the entrepreneurial abilities. The skills that are required to run a business successfully is developed among the students through this programme.

It helps the person to acquire skills and necessary capabilities to play the role of an entrepreneur effectively. An entrepreneur is required to respond appropriately to the market and he/she is also required to understand the business needs. The skills needed are varied and they need to be taken care in the best possible way.

The programme was sponsored by TEQUIP III, JNTUH under equity action plan. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr Radhika Meenakshi Shankar, Founder of Wise Owl. She addressed the participants about Indian Values of Entrepreneurship, creativity and behavioural scientist's approach.

Principal Dr N Satyanarayana emphasised on the necessity of acquiring technical skills for becoming a successful entrepreneur. Vice Principal Dr K Nagajyothi insisted that the students can excel as an entrepreneur irrespective of the capital investment if they have an innovative min and master mind.

The two-day programme included presentations and discussion by various successful entrepreneurs who elaborated about economic development, business communication, funding etc.

Gampa Srikanth, Founder of MSME World, Chief Guest of the Valedictory ceremony explained about formalities, rules and regulations to start an SSI Unit. Certificates were awarded to students during the Valedictory. More than 260 students from 8 Engineeering Colleges participated in the programme.
