Hyderabad: Pallavi Engineering College (PEC), an institution that enhances confidence among students and prepares them to face the challenges in the real world is run by Pallavi Educational Society.

It has the advantage of being located in the heart of the city with a sprawling campus and is well connected by road and easily accessible by both college and RTC buses and the metro. Its mission is to provide scholarly and vibrant learning environment that enable students and staff to achieve personal and professional growth.

The college is formerly known as Nagole Institute of Technology and Science (NITS). Malka Kommariah, founder of PEC has 25 years of enormous experience in the field of education. He completed B Tech in civil engineering from Osmania University in 1983 and ventured into real estate business with a missionary zeal. Malka Kommariah's vision is to make PEC one of the nation's premier educational institutions by achieving the highest order of excellence in teaching and research.

The college management aims at exploring new ways to motivate their learners, make use of new learning styles, introduce multiple intelligence practices, integrate learning and encourage innovative thinking and in the process, discover the passion and moral purpose that makes teaching exciting and effective.

Specaility of the college:

PEC ensures every student has a potential and wanted to see him/her transform from an ordinary engineer into a global professional. It has excellent infrastructure with spacious classrooms and separate hostel facility for boys and girls. The college has been equipped with experienced and highly qualified faculty, state-of-the –art infrastructure including well equipped labs, library, and cafeteria. It provides 24 hours free internet and has also been recognised as an approved remote centre for IIT Bombay and IIT kharagpur.

Courses offered:

UG programme: B tech Civil Engineering (CE), Electronic and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electrical and Electrical Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering (ME). Diploma programme: Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.

Extra- curricular activities:

Extra-curricular activities are conducted to improve the interpersonal skills of the students and to provide them opportunities for exploring and enhancing their latent talents. Regular communication is established between the parents or guardians and the institute.

Guest lectures by experts from academics and industry are organised at regular frequencies to motivate students and keep them informed about the latest advances in engineering and technology, soft skills, oral values, ethics and other areas of importance.

Training and placement cell:

The training and placement cell is itself a hallmark of the institute with a separate block with 15 individual cabins and an exclusive conference hall for conducting interviews. The placement cell launched a full-fledged in-house training programme 'PEC CTP' for the students where they are trained from the first year itself. It focuses on soft skills, technical skills, communication skills and personal development.

Making the students industry ready:

As a part of association activities, the final year and pre-final year students are encouraged to go for industrial visits to various places to help them acquire knowledge in recent trends. This would be a great advantage to update themselves so as to meet the new challenges of global technology.
