Sanjeevaiah Park, now an attractive hangout for children
Sanjeevaiah Park is a beautiful lung space stretching over 99 acres, located right in the middle of the Hyderabad.
The park is managed by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), and consists of many interesting spots such as the Rose Garden, Cactus Garden, Garden Maze, large National Flag, and Yoga Garden.
While the park is popular with many citizens of the city who reside in the vicinity, many are not aware of the various facilities in it. So, to encourage more visitors to the park, HMDA has taken an innovative approach.
It has asked one of its partner agencies- DoScience- to conduct engaging and enriching activities for children and their families in the park every weekend this summer. The first event on Sunday, April 14 was focussed on highlighting the beautiful Garden Maze in the park.
Titled the End Game – Mysteries of the Maze, the game kept with the spirit of the maze and was structured around solving riddles and puzzles.
Over 40 participants spent a pleasant two hours on last Sunday morning, searching for hidden treasure boxes in the maze and solving some mind-boggling puzzles and riddles.
The event was enjoyed both by children and grown-ups.
This weekend event will highlight the massive National Flag in the park.
Called Flag Off India, the event scheduled for 7 am on April 21 will revolve around word games, quizzes, crosswords and puzzles. Similar to the Maze event, this one will also be uniquely structured to keep participants engaged.
Flag Off India will be open to all age-groups (upwards of 8 years) and will be free of cost (except the regular entrance fee to the park). Interested participants should register themselves by calling +91 88972 04422.
