Andhra Pradesh News: Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra has been sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday. Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan administered the oath of office by Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy attended the CJ swearing-in ceremony at Tummalapalli Kalakshetra in Vijayawada. APPSC releases notification for the recruitment of 38 posts in various departments
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has issued a notification regarding the filling of vacancies in various departments of the government. An announcement has been made to fill 38 vacant posts in various departments. According to the notification, the highest number of posts were released for Assistant Statistical Officers in the Department of Economic Statistics with 29 posts and 6 Assistant Public Relations Officers post in the Department of Information, 1 post of Food Safety Officer in the Department of Medical Health, and 02 posts of Hostel Warden in BC Welfare Department hostels. Andhra Pradesh: Excess bus charges only for special services, clarifies APSRTC
APSRTC operations department ED KSB Reddy said that 50 percent surcharge is being levied on special buses running during Dussehra. He said that of the 348 buses plying daily from AP to Telangana, there are no additional charges. The ED asserted that the buses are running with 80 percent occupancy during the festive season. "After covid, as part of the interstate agreement, the buses had to be reduced on the kilometer basis," he said. Read Full Story

Weather dept. predicts two low-pressures on October 15, AP to receive rain for next two days
The Indian Meteorological Department said the southwest monsoon will leave the state in two days. The weather department has said that the surface periodicity in the Arabian Sea over the southern coast and South Karnataka extends from 1.5 to 4.5 km above sea level. The Southwest Monsoon has withdrawn from parts of Telangana, the IMD bulletin said on Tuesday. Conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal of the monsoon from some more parts of the State during next two days.
