Coronavirus in Telangana as on 17 October Telangana recorded 1,451 coronavirus positive cases and nine new deaths on Friday. While the cumulative number of cases reached 2,20,675, the death toll went up to 1,265. And the recovery count touched 1,96,636 as 1,983 new persons recovered from the virus. At present, the active cases in the state are 22,774 out of which 18,905 are in home/institutional isolation.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reviewed the state of the Covid-19 pandemic and preparedness of the vaccine. The meeting was attended by Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, members of NITI Aayog and officials of other departments of the Government of India.
During this time, PM Modi said that we do not have to confine the vaccine only to the neighboring countries, but it has to be spread all over the world. He said that to further strengthen the vaccine delivery system, we need to emphasize on IT platforms across the world.
Mumbai News: To deal with the floods in Maharashtra, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has suggested to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for the establishment of a 'State Water Grid' in the state. He said that this arrangement will help the state government to ensure the availability of water in drought-affected areas and protect it from wastage of resources due to floods.
