Coronavirus in Telangana: Telangana on Friday reported 1,967 coronavirus positive cases pushing the total count to 99,391 while the death toll touched 737 with eight new deaths due to the virus. Telangana News: As many as nine persons trapped in the fire that engulfed TS Genco hydel power station in Srisailam on Friday morning. According to the early reports coming in, short circuit led to the fire. The fire is said to have erupted from the left bank powerhouse late on Thursday night. Read Full Story
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has expressed shock over the accident that took place at Srisailam Power Generation Plant. The CM is eliciting information on the accident on a regular basis. The CM wanted all those who were trapped in the Plant should come out safely. KCR spoke to Minister Jagdeesh Reddy and Transco, Genco CMD D Prabhakar Rao who are at the Plant site and reviewed the relief measures taking place there.
