Coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh minister Satish Mahana took to Twitter to inform that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Over 4 crore samples tested till yesterday: ICMR

"The total number of samples tested up to August 28 is 4,04,06,609 including 9,28,761 samples tested yesterday," Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said.

Coronavirus in Telangana: Telangana on Saturday registered 2,751 coronavirus positive cases and nine new deaths due to the virus. The total number of cases in the state reached 1,20,166 while the death toll touched 808. Telangana: Search is underway for four convicts who escaped on 26-27th Aug, from Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad where they were undergoing treatment for COVID19. Police say, "They escaped from the prisoner’s ward of the hospital. Operation to nab them is underway. FIR registered."
