8-yr-old girl sets new world records

West Maredpally: PV Sahruda, an eight-year-old girl, has won accolades for setting two new world records recently at a world record attempt show organised by Elite World Records, an American organisation, at Geetanjali High School.

Apart from excelling in studies, this third standard kid studying in Geetanjali High School has tried her hand in other skills such as karate, painting, sports, Bharata Natyam, Kuchipudi, skating, abacus and robotics. Sahruda holds green belt in martial arts and has been undergoing training in martial arts from Okinama martial arts teacher G Ashwini Anand.

Sahruda set a new world record in breaking 350 ceramic tiles in a span of 20 minutes and another in painting continuously for five hours and made 102 paper boats in one hour.

Speaking to media, head mistress of Geetanjali High School, Veda Kumari attributed the success to the kid's parents PVBR Sharma and PSV Shailaja who motivated her to excel in various fields right from her childhood.

Principal said that the kid also won several cash prizes and medals in various olympiads, mathematics and space competitions. The child has also developed mobile apps and made robots. Her parents said that she can also write short stories.
