Hyderabad: Feeding a sumptuous meal to children gives him immense joy. What started as a hobby a few years ago has now turned into a mission of his life. Khwaja Moinuddin, 39, a native of Guntur, used to prepare food with two friends - Srinath Reddy and Bhagath Reddy – for children living in orphanages. This was five years ago.

The joy they derived by seeing happy faces spurred them on and now they prepare food every week for children in orphanages. They strive to cater to 1,200 children living in different orphanages every month.

Khwaja is an MBA. He dabbled in journalism before plunging full time into social service. When asked how he manages funds, "We get donations and the money from videos on Youtube channel is used to prepare food," he says.

Nine years ago, his friends created a YouTube channel 'Nawab Kitchen for orphans' which shares his recipes by demonstrating outdoor. "Once in my childhood days, when I was travelling, I saw a few kids searching for food in garbage. That image stuck with me for a long time."

Once cooked, all the food is distributed to children in orphanages. The team aims to feed around 1,200 kids every month and to post two to three videos every week, on an average. "For orphans who have no one, these dishes bring a smile on their faces.

These children genuinely long for some comfort and affection in any form," says a contented Khwaja. He added that where there is a will, there is a way. He is happy that he rallies people for his humane cause and raises enough money to cook food for these children.
