Karimnagar: Donations pour in as MLA Ravi Shankar helps two orphan children
Karimnagar: Choppadandi MLA S Ravi Shankar came forward to help two children who became orphans with the sudden demise of their parents here in Karimnagar district. Two orphan children who are identified as Pittal Manisha and Raju, residents of Ryalapalli village of Gangadhar mandal are facing lot of problems with no help from their dear and near ones.
Learning about their plight, MLA Sunke Ravi Shankar approached them and immediately handed over them Rs20,000 and stood by their side. With the appeal made by MLA, Dr.Gurram Thirupathi Reddy and Chandrakala who are the NRIs also donated Rs.25,000 to the kids.
Gangadhar MPP Sriram Madhukar donated Rs.10,000, ZPTC Pulkam Anuradha Narasaiah donated Rs10,000, village Sarpanch Vemula Damodar donated Rs5,000 to the children in the presence of MLA along with the villagers of Ryalapalli who donated Rs77,000.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ravi Shankar said that he would take initiation for sanctioning of Rythu Bhima cheque of Rs 5 lakh to children who lost their farmer parents along with double bedroom house. MLA also assured that he would provide educational facilities to both the kids.
