Bus stops sans rooftops

Paradise: The bus shelters at Paradise do not have proper rooftops due to which commuters are forced to stand on the roads and wait for the buses. The commuters waiting here are standing under the nearby trees to protect themselves from sun and rain.

"We have to stand for hours on the road waiting for buses as the frequency of buses have reduced due to RTC strike," said Raj Shekar Reddy, a daily commuter. "In case of rains, many commuters stand under any tree to save themselves from drenching. The authorities need to repair or install new rooftops so that the bus travelers, especially aged and women don't face hardships," he added.
