Collector M V Reddy personally clears piled-up garbage at Medchal

Medchal: District Collector M V Reddy on Thursday conducted a surprise inspection of the 'Mana Nagaram' works in Rajiv Gruhakalpa of Dammaiguda municipality. He personally removed piled-up garbage from grounds after pulling up the sanitation supervisor for non-clearance of filth.

The DC directed Municipal Commissioner Ramalingam to relieve from duty bill collector Sridhar and the sanitation supervisor for negligence in discharge of duty in planting of saplings in vacant areas and carrying out sanitation work.

Reddy directed Electricity AE to install fencing at transformers, as without it there could be accidents. The DC also asked him to install streetlights in the colony. He interacted with residents to know their feedback on changes in the 'Mana Nagaram' works.

Locals wanted higher classes to be started, as they were available only up to V class. They informed Reddy that they were facing hardship in the absence of a hospital. Reddy directed the DMHO to arrange healthcare facilities every Wednesday in the colony.

He called for immediate repairs to pothole-filled road from Ahmedguda to Jawaharnagar, Reddy offered to examine the residents' plea for sanction of pensions and houses. He directed officials to carry out immediate repairs of road leading to graveyard. Among those who accompanied the Collector were the Municipal Commissioner, Tahsildar Nagaraju and officials concerned.
