Collector M V Reddy sees red over unauthorised structures

Medchal: Medchal Collector M V Reddy on Tuesday inspected several colonies in Dammaiguda municipality as part of the ten-day development plan in Keesara mandal and offered special pooja in Saibaba temple. He warned officials that negligence in duty that hinder development would invite stringent action.

The Collector suspended an official for flaws in sanitation and severely pulled up the Town Planning officer for failing to check unauthorised construction. He directed the special officers of municipal corporations to submit details of all illegal constructions in their respective civic bodies.

During the 'padayatra' in colonies, Reddy interacted with residents to know their problems. Addressing them, he said the problem of dump yard confronting the resident of Dammaiguda would be solved soon.

Three more dump yards would be set up at the instance of Minister K Tarakarama Rao. With the launch of a power plant the polluted atmosphere in the area would be a thing of the past, he stated. The DC also assured to solve local drinking water supply problems.

The officials concerned imposed fines of Rs.10,000 on Heritage Super Market for dumping garbage on road, Rs 10,000 on a house owner for throwing rubble on road and Rs 2,000 on a kirana and general store owner for dumping garbage in front of his shop.

The Collector also directed officials to develop a beautiful park in 1,600 sq yards site in Marutinagar Colony. Among those who accompanied him were Commissioner Rajalingam, officials Yadagiri Goud, Upasarpanch Karthik Goud, Narsimha Reddy, Hari and others.
