Hyderabad: With hardly 10 days left for GHMC elections which promises to be a high decibel one, all parties, the TRS, BJP, and the Congress have created a war room and constituted special teams to devise campaign strategies on a day-to-day basis.

The TRS and BJP have already started indulging in a war of words. Once the process of nominations ends Friday, all-important leaders will kick start their campaign. KTR will be leading the TRS campaign and will hold roadshows. Ministers Eatala Rajender and Koppula Eshwar have started campaigning in wards.

The teams in war rooms have been assigned the task of playing the role of troubleshooters. They have been told to gauge the fast-changing political situation and trends by conducting random surveys and give feedback to the leaders working at the ground level.

They will also keep updating the party leaders on the mode of campaign and issues being talked about by opponents. The war rooms are equipped with high-end technology and maintained by IT experts. Along with the ground-level campaign, high importance is being given to the campaign through digital mode.

A group of content writers, graphic designers, and political analysts have also been hired to look after the poll campaign on social media and track the rival party campaign closely.

They will counter the rival party campaign through graphic illustrations on social media. Another group will take care of the campaign through videos on the social media platform.

The war room will also try to expose to what low levels the other party leaders had stooped to by coming up with videos based on the comments made by rival party leaders. The budget for the war rooms is said to be very high. In Dubbaka by-elections, BJP was ahead of the ruling TRS in the social media campaign. BJP's strategy in the by-elections yielded good results.

This time the TRS has also made elaborate arrangements to make the best use of social media. KCR, it is learned, was personally monitoring the social media campaign programme and was giving tips to counter the opposition instantly.
