Goud associations hold Alai Bhalai
Barkatpura: Telangana Gouda Kallu Geetja associations coordination committee organised 'Alai Bhalai' programme here at Andhra Yuvathi Mandali function hall on Tuesday.
Telangana Minister Srinivas Goud, former chairman of Telangana legislative council Swamy Goud, former MP Bhoora Narsaiah Goud, MLA Prakash Goud, former MLA Bikshamaiah Goud, state president of BC welfare association Jajula Srinivas Goud, former MLA Sathyanarayana Goud, Bommagani Mahesh Goud, Vijay Kumar Goud, Palle Ravi Goud, finance commission chairman Rajesham Goud, Venkanna Gouf, Manda Krishna Goud, artists Manukota Prasad, Dhusari Srinivas Goud and other prominent Goud leaders participated in the programme.
Praising the organisers for conducting 'alai balai', Swamy Goud said that Gouds have cordial relation with people from other castes and suggested to conduct 'Bahujan Alai Bhalai' in future.
Speaking on development, Srinivas Goud said that the state government has planted 3.75 lakh toddy trees for the development of Goud community. He promised to implement 'Neera' policy in the State and said that the government would promote Neera project as pilot project and would send teams to other states to study its feasibility.
He said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has allocated five acres of land at Kokapet and Rs 5 crore for the construction of Goud welfare building. He announced that birth anniversary of Sardar Sarvai Papanna would be celebrated officially from next year and develop the Sardar Sarvai Papanna fort at Karimnagar as tourist spot. A large number of leaders and people from Goud community participated in the programme.
