Secunderabad: The family members of the Intermediate students who committed suicides following the recent fiasco in marks staged a silent protest at Gandhi statue near MG Road on Sunday. They garlanded Gandhi's statue on the occasion.

Udaya Atluri, sister of suicide victim Anamika, is the convener of JAC of 'Inter Badhitha Kutumbalu.' She alleged that the Intermediate Board is "repeating mistake after mistake to cover up its shoddy work, thus, playing with the lives of students." She cited the example of the statement issued of BIE Secretary Ashok, who stated that Anamika scored 48 marks, but later changed the figure to 21.

Finding fault with the state government for it stand that no mistakes had been committed, she demanded for a judicial inquiry by a sitting judge into the fiasco and re-evaluation of inter answer books.

Atluri asserted that the JAC would not stop its struggle until the justice is done to the victims, the ones responsible for the mistakes were not punished and the Education Minister resigned taking moral responsibility.
