Abdullapurmet: Communist Party of India (Marxist) Abdullapurmet mandal secretary E Narasimha inspected Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) works in Gandicheruvu village on Monday.

He enquired workers about their problems. The workers expressed despair stating that they have been working under the hot sun draining out their energies. According to MGNREGS, each worker should get Rs 211 per day. But, they weren't able to earn more than Rs 150 because of the horrible weather.

Narasimha demanded tools for each group. "Wages should be increased as per the rise of prices. Facilities being given should be implemented properly," he added.
