Basheerbagh: SC, ST, BC and minorities united front organised a meeting here at Press Club on Monday to discuss harassment of Intermediate Board employees from SC, ST, BC and minority communities by upper caste officials. MRPS founder president Manda Krishna Madiga, Mala Mahanadu president G Chennaiah, former MLC Ramulu Naik, Kumar of Erukula Sangham, Maheshwara Raju, Mala Mahanadu working president Tallapalli Ravi, and others participated in the meeting.

Chennaiah alleged that Intermediate Board had become a spot for irregularities, injustice and corruption. Higher officials belonging to upper castes, who with their financial power and political support, were targeting employees from downtrodden sections and causing them severe mental stress by issuing charge memos, suspension orders, conducting enquiries, and threatening them with transfer orders, he said.

Chennaiah demanded that the state government take necessary measures to prevent harassment of SC, ST, BC and minority employees by upper caste officials. He warned of an intense agitation if government fails to take necessary action against erring officials. BC leader Jajula Srinivas Goud, Dasu Suresh, Shyam Kurma and others attended the meeting.
