Hussaini Alam: The evenings come alive at Moosa Bowli. Starting from around 7 pm there is a rush towards the food stalls and hundreds of customers are seen savouring the dishes on the roadside. If bagara khana and keema are most sought after for Sehri (morning prayer), kababs, lacha paratha, Arabian ghava, mirchi and dahi wada are favourites at iftar.

The striking feature of the main street near City College is the variety of food that is on offer. There are close to 30 dishes that one can eat and the top favourite is the pathar ka ghost that is cooked on slow fire over a stone. Not available in other months of the year, this dish steals the show.

Then there are Mutton Marg, Malai Paya, Sheek Kebab, Reshmi Kebab, Malai Kebab, Mutton Fry, Achari Chicken, Malai Chicken, Sticks, rolls and many different items said Mohammed Amjad, owner of Al-Farooj Sonu Kebabs.

Speaking to The Hans India, Mohammed Amjad said that the items which are available in this area are only available in the month of Ramzan. For the last 10 years, Phatter ka Gosht is available here and now the street is famous as phatter ka gosht street, added Amjad.

Apart from this, mutton murg and malai paya, special roti lachha parata and many types of kebabs are also available here. There are around 3-4 stalls with different types of foods, which are only set up in the month of Ramzan. While chicken dosa is also famous.

The street gives you the mutton dishes, chicken dishes, mutton (beef) dishes, different types of Dosa's, Kebab's and Roti's, and the most favorite Arabian drink during Ramzan 'Ghawa'.

Customers from all religions come here, say owners of eateries. Syed Hussain, a customer, said, "Phatter ka Gosht is not available easily in the city. I have come from Balanagar." S Satish, another customer eating Mutton Marg and Phatter ka Gosht with his family, said that, "For the last three years we have been relishing mutton and chicken dishes from here and the most favourite and mouthwatering dish of our family is Phatter ka Gosht." He also said that his son prefers to eat chicken dosa as it is not available easily in the city.
