Officials crack down on plastic use

Bandlaguda Jagir: The sanitary officials of Bandlaguda Jagir on Monday cracked whip against roadside vendors using plastic carry bags at various markets. Sanitary Inspector Manohar, Bill Collector Chandrashekhar and field Jawans took part in the surprise visits that carried out from APPA Junction to Tipu Khan Bridge.

"Using all sorts of plastic carry bags is completely prohibited and officials of Bandlaguda Jagir are carrying out regular inspections to check the use of palatine which is causing environmental havoc," informed the Bill Collector Chandrashekhar. Officials imposed penalties up to Rs 7,200 on the violators and warned vendors of more severe action for violating the municipal laws, he added.
