Old Bowenpally areas heavily water-logged

Old Bowenpally: Several low-lying areas in Old Bowenpally witnessed water logging due to heavy downpour on Tuesday evening. Commuters faced severe inconvenience even as roads in Hasmathpet, Sri Sai Enclave, Bhavani Nagar, Kalinga Enclave and other colonies in Old Bowenpally witnessed water-logging.

Several low-lying areas were inundated as water remained on roads for hours after the rain. Locals complained of frequent inundations in the area and urged officials concerned to find a permanent solution to the issue. Ameer, a resident of Old Bowenpally, said even a short spell in enough to inundate the roads.

He appealed to the GHMC officials to take necessary measures to address the issue. Despite several complaints in this regard to the local MLA, the problem remained unaddressed, several locals who spoke to THI lamented.

Due to the heavy downpour, it resulted in water-logging and traffic snarls at areas like Patny, Bowenpally, and Karkhana. Motorist and pedestrians faced a lot of problems and vehicles were seen getting stuck in water-logged streets.
