Orphanage inaugurated
Balanagar: To provide a healthy environment and a perfect lifestyle, Prerna Children Home was inaugurated on Sunday.
The six storied building in an area of over 1,550 sq yds site at JPR Enclave in Balanagar, was constructed by A Prasad Raju, special judge, Erramanzil, Hyderabad and Dr Indira, Gynaecologist.
This home can accommodate around 50 orphans/semi orphan boys and at present there are around 20 children at the home. It has been constructed with the best infrastructure with a playground, dining room, sick room, counselling room and multipurpose hall to conduct different activities.
Speaking at the inauguration programme, Prasad Raju said "Our orphanages have impacted the children emotionally and psychologically. It's not surprising that even decades ago, the developed nations have virtually eliminated orphanages and moved towards pastor care."
"We are striving to decrease the trust deficit that most of us have on orphanages by being transparent. Our vision document reflects this idea by quoting "Transparency leads Legitimacy". We aim to shape the children into inspiring personalities. We follow a threefold approach, family-based care, attitudinal and behavioral counselling, and academics," he added.
