Police assure to curb anti-social activities

Bagh Lingampally: Following a report that was published by The Hans India on Thursday that eve-teasing has been rampant at the Sundarayya Park in Bagh Lingampally, Chikkadpally SHO Siva Shanker Rao, along with sector SI V Kishore and other police officials of Chikadpally police station, conducted a community meeting on Friday with Hyderabad Central Walkers Association and discussed various problems that the residents were facing.

The officials spread awareness about what to do when they find any such issue happening around them. They also explained about the features of Dial 100 and police mobile app Hawk Eye, and social media outreach through twitter and Facebook.

The locals in the meeting came forward and raised all the problems that they were facing. They complained about smoking around the park, lack of streetlights, boozing in night hours, encroachments and eve-teasing. Police officials assured that they would make sure that they would be doing a regular patrolling and requested locals to file complaints on any such issue if it happened again.
