Road to Dandamudi Enclave inundated
Petbasheerabad: One side of the two-lane road to Dandamudi Enclave has been inundated as the pond beside the road is filled to the brim and overflowed due to the recent heavy rains, causing a lot of inconvenience to the residents of several colonies and enclaves. The outlet at the pond has been blocked resulting in water gushing onto the road.
The residents use the two-way road but of late have stopped using the exit road as it is water-logged. Residents of residential enclaves on the road registered complaints on MyGHMC app, sending the pictures of the road, but so far there has been no response from the officials.
Achut Reddy, a resident of Tirumala Kasani Residency, said that locals have been finding it hard due to water logging. H also expressed fear that it may become breeding ground for mosquitoes and result in spread of diseases such as dengue and malaria. Several locals who spoke to THI demanded that GHMC officials find a permanent solution to prevent inundation in future.
