Sewage overflows near Metro station
Panjagutta: Living near the Metro station has become a challenge for the resident as they cannot bear anymore the stench emanating from the overflowing sewage water for the past one month.
And with the advent of monsoon the problem has only aggravated. And when it rains the stench become overwhelming affecting the health of the residents living there.
K Janaki, a local, said, "This stagnated sewage is a perfect breeding space for mosquitoes that has increase in past weeks. The residents are facing a serious issue, as the sewage water gets accumulated in the front of houses. They fear outbreak of diseases."
K Kamesh, a commuter, said "It has become difficult because of the stagnant water in the area has become very slippery and also very difficult to walk and travel. The space has become crowded due to the shops and metro station."
