Sewage overflows; people raise a stink
Suraram: Residents of Suraram Colony have been facing serious overflow of sewage water for the past one month. It also has become a challenge for the locals over here to deal with stench every day.
They fear outbreak of diseases, too. They complain that because of the stagnant water near the area has become very slippery and also very difficult to travel.
Joseph, a local, said this stagnated sewage is a perfect breeding ground for mosquitoes that has increase over here. He also said the residents over here are facing a serious issue, as the sewage water gets accumulated in the front of the houses.
Ramesh, another local, said the people had submitted several complaints to the officials concerned about this issue and also requested the municipality to repair the drainage line, but no step has been taken till date. Despite several complaints verbal, message through social media and yet no concrete step has been taken by concerned officials.
