Sitaphalmandi: A multipurpose community hall built at a cost of Rs 8 crore is coming up in Sitaphalmandi and is scheduled to be completed by March. A pet project of Telangana Deputy Speaker Padma Rao Goud, works began in March 2018 are now almost complete.

"Private community halls charge high, which makes them out of bounds for lower and middle-income groups. The aim is to provide all facilities at the function hall at a nominal rate. There is no need to pay the rent to use the hall only they would have to pay an amount of Rs 25,000 as maintenance chargers," said Pramod Kumar, Executive Engineer, GHMC Secunderabad circle 29.

"The hall would be equipped with centralized air-conditioning, attractive illumination, modern kitchen, RO plants and also with ample parking facility. The community hall is a two-storied building in 800 square yards can accommodate 1,800-2000 people at a time.

Nearly 95% of the construction has been completed and only finishing touches are being given. GHMC is also constructing a community hall at Lalapet. Rs 6 Cr is sanctioned for the project and the construction would start soon, added Pramod Kumar.
