T Padma Rao Goud distributes enhanced pensions

Secunderabad: The Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly, T Padma Rao Goud, said on Sunday that the TRS government was working for the welfare of the poor.

Speaking at Sitaphalmandi division multipurpose function hall after distributing hiked pensions to beneficiaries, he pointed out that during 2009-2014 only Rs 200 was being paid as pension to 6,500 persons once in three months. The beneficiaries had to approach brokers for securing the amounts after making many rounds.

Goud stated that after the TRS government assumed office, over 16,000 beneficiaries were provided pensions in five divisions of Secunderabad constituency. The money was directly credited in their bank accounts. He had directed MROs to be sympathetic to the problems of pensioners. Goud said his staff would be available in his camp office in Namalgundu (phone no 040-27504448), who could be contacted by pensioners. He advised pensioners not to approach middlemen for assistance.

The Deputy Speaker handed over letters to pensions on increased pension amounts. GHMC Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar, Marredpally MRO Anitha, Corporator Samala Hema, Bhargavi were among those present.
